First: Demographically Targeted Consumer Needs are of critical importance. But any successful brand development must be marketed from a solid foundation:
TIMING | PEOPLE | KNOWLEDGE | FUNDS. Knowing who you are selling to does little good in building a path to success without this strategically built foundation behind your brand.
Second: Speed to action is only exceeded in importance by targeting your customer. Everything in marketing to the consumer has a life cycle:
1. A window of entry, 2. a window to maturity, 3. a plateau of stability, and 4. a cycle of decline. If you miss the first window in these 4 steps your level of success will
diminish, and your cost will increase.
Conclusion: Know your target customer and know where you are in the marketing cycle – then move to action quickly!
